Ten years ago, Niek van Lieverloo began a culinary adventure in Maurick Castle together with his business partner Klaas van Leengoed. This unique location in the Netherlands started as a fine dining restaurant with space for fifty guests and eight employees, which has now grown into a versatile hospitality venue for large events.
With a background in fine dining - including the exclusive elite programme of the ‘Gastronomie Gilde’ in the Netherlands - Niek consciously chooses excellence without the traditional formality. With this ambition, he transformed an abandoned castle into a culinary experience for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in history.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Niek and Klaas remained proactive in their endeavours. With the hospitality industry shutting down, the fully-booked wedding schedule could not proceed. However, rather than waiting for the pandemic to subside, the partners expanded their portfolio with two additional castles.
At Maurick Castle guests immediately experience the blend of history and modern elegance. Restaurant Hendrik van Maurick offers fine dining, while brasserie Catherina van Maurick creates a unique high tea experience.
With multiple rooms and three kitchens, smooth communication and flexibility are essential for daily operations.
unTill Prime offers the exact setup Maurick requires in this historical building. The POS system supports staff in quick communication and a complete overview using digital floor plans, handheld devices connecting throughout the entire building, and kitchen screens following course status real time.
The result: operational control, fewer mistakes, and the hospitality experience Maurick is known for.
- Niek Lieverloo, Maurick Castle

The partnership between Maurick Castle and unTill began ten years ago through contact between Niek van Lieverloo and Jeroen van den Heuvel of Janssens Kassasystemen, one of the three unTill dealerships in the Netherlands. Both men were at the start of new careers and each grew into their role as entrepreneurs.
What began as a simple partnership, developed into a relationship built on mutual trust and growth. And as they say in the south of the country, this relationship is more important there than anywhere else.
