“Good evening, do you have a reservation?”

Not only keep track of reservations using separate reservation software, but also from your POS? An unTill® Point Of Sale system provides this feature. For each reservation you enter the time, number of persons and desired table, in your POS.

On the day in question, a list is shown on the screen or it can be printed. Prior to the time of reservation, the table starts blinking in the screen, so your staff knows this table is reserved. When the guests arrive, the reservation is accepted and the table stops blinking. “We received your reservation, here’s your table.”

  • Reserve a table at the POS
  • List of reservations
  • Acceptance of reservation
  • Table blinks when it’s reserved

With an unTill® POS system it’s possible to set a pre-defined series of customer tables. If you select a guest, who’s in the system, a table from this series is automatically linked to this customer. The order stays open for this table as long as it’s not paid for.

When the guest returns another time, you can quickly find the open table account be simply selecting the customer’s name. Selecting a customer is also possible using loyalty cards. In one glance you see all open customer table accounts on the overview screen.

Payment for these tables is done by using  the to account’ option, the customer receives an invoice later on. Cash, card or other payment methods are, of course, also an option.

  • When selecting a customer an account is automatically opened
  • A running customer account opens automatically
  • Overview of all outstanding customer accounts

“I’d like to order a birthday cake for next week.”

If you want to be able to take an order and deliver at a later time, you can use an unTill® Point Of Sale system. Very convenient for businesses that regularly have pre-orders, like bakeries. You take these orders by entering name and address, together with the desired time of pick-up or delivery. You can also register whether an order is (partly) paid for in advance or not.

To know what articles to prepare, you print a production list daily. All pre-ordered articles for that day are listed. When a customer comes to pick-up an order, this get’s activated and can it be paid.

  • Enter orders for later use
  • Put orders on hold
  • Suitable for bakeries e.g.
  • Print a list of orders

“I’d like to rent a bicycle. Is that possible?”

Do you rent out bicycles or other rental products? With the rental module you can keep track of the let items in your POS. You do this by marking the bikes, or other products, with a barcode.

Guests can make a reservation to rent an item beforehand. When they enter the desired time, availability is immediately checked/confirmed. With the option ‘rental groups’ you can offer an alternative article from the same group, should it be necessary.

When your customer comes to pick-up the article, you scan it and link it to the order. Price is calculated depending on the pre-set rental period. At return of the rented article, it’s automatically checked whether it’s handed back on time. If not, additional costs will be charged. You can also keep track of repairs, this way it’s always clear when an article is temporarily unavailable.

You can also print lists of rented and reserved products, as well as a list of repairs.

  • Rental module, e.g. bicycle rental
  • Sort articles in rental groups
  • Set rental price per hour or per day
  • Scan rental articles by barcode

“Do you also issue vouchers?”

Do you want to accept vouchers as a payment method? You can easily program this in an unTill® Point Of Sale system. This option automatically assigns a unique barcode to the payment method. When handing out or selling a voucher, you set the value of the ticket. You can also create vouchers beforehand, so you can, for example, print them in your own house style. For this you can use an automatic generated number or a pre-set sequence.

If a guest bought a voucher, it can later on be used as a means of payment. Residual value, if any, remains assigned to the voucher for later use. You can also combine a voucher with other methods of payments.

  • Voucher and coupons as payment method
  • Easily created
  • Create multiple vouchers simultaneously
  • Residual value remains valid

“I have one of your coupons.”

Coupons can be used for advertisements, special offers and promotions. You create and sell these coupons from your POS. For each coupon you set a template, which shows the articles that apply to this offer. Then coupons are created with a barcode or a QR-code.

You can issue coupons with a validity period. An unlimited number of people can use them, for example when you use the the code in an advertisement. Or a limited number, when you hand out the coupon to a select number of guests. When a guest uses the coupon, the underlying articles are automatically ordered and calculated in the Point Of Sale.

  • Coupons for promotional use
  • Print with a barcode or QR-code
  • For advertisements
  • Action articles automatically deducted when taking in a coupon

Always being able to view accounts? As manager, you sometimes want to know exactly what’s going on. The extensive supervision screen of an unTill® POS makes this possible. You can re-open bills when you want to correct them. You can correct articles or alter the payment method. Naturally, this can only be done by a manager. The waiter who handled the account, remains responsible.

In the supervision screen you can also re-print a copy of the bill. And if you lost a production receipt, you can easily recall the order and print it again.

  • View account and order history
  • Re-print the bill
  • Re-open the account
  • Alter payment method

When you use multiple printers, it comes in handy that a POS gives an indication when one or more printers is malfunctioning. Often because it is out of paper. When this happens a production receipt can’t be printed, in the kitchen for example. A notification is show on your screen. When the problem is solved you can choose to print again, or you can select another printer if necessary. This way you can always print the receipts and continue your work.

Is a printer temporarily not used, or there’s no need for a receipt? You can shut it down for the time being. Printers are diverted automatically when you use table areas. The printer on the terrace, for instance, only comes into use when the zone ‘terrace’ is activated.

  • Printer diversion in case of malfunction or when it’s out of paper
  • Temporary shut down of printers
  • Switching of printers using table areas

Do you want to register the presence of your employees in the POS? An unTill® Point Of Sale also functions as a time-clock. Co-workers can sign in using:

  • a code
  • a bracelet
  • a fingerprint
  • a card
  • or some sort of key

The shift starts automatically and the co-worker receives a receipt. At the end of the shift the co-worker signs off and the work hours are calculated. Taking into account any breaks or extra smoking breaks. You can also register whether an employee has had a meal.

A member of staff forgot to sign in/off? A manager can correct this afterwards. The integration of planning and salary software is also one of the options. This way the co-worker’s services correspond with the schedules and salary. Because the work hour data is in the same system as the turnover data, it’s easy to view a report of the turnover per worked time.

  • Clocking in and out for all employees
  • Keep track of break(s)
  • Registration of consumed meal(s)
  • Possibility to integrate salary software
  • Productivity reports per employee

Ever make a direct payment out of the till? For instance, for paying a supplier or giving to a charity? With the ‘in/out register’ feature you record this flawlessly. All cash transaction are registered with it.

When you add cash to the till you can register it wit this feature, e.g. replenishing your change. At the end of the day, you have the balance of these actions settled with the turnover, so no cash differences arise.

  • Registration of payments directly from POS
  • Registration of receipts
  • Displayed and calculated in cash total on report
